Health & Safety and Training

The Managing Director, Senior Management and workforce are committed to working safely and view this as an integral part of Blaze Constructionís day to day routine.

All personnel are site inducted and attend regular tool box talks. They are also all given a copy of the Health & Safety Statement and Rules which is explained to them. They then sign to say that they have read, understood and agree to comply with this document.

Blaze Construction actively encourages both Health & Safety and skills training. All personnel hold a current Health & Safety certificate. In addition, all Plant Operators hold a current Plant Operatorís Certificate for any piece of plant they operate, all Operatives hold a current relevant CSCS card and all Forepersons attend one day appointed Safety First Aid courses. All details of certificates gained and training received are held at Head Office both in hard copy and on the computer system. This system automatically creates a reminder when an update is required.

Blaze Construction appoints an external Safety Consultant, who visits, inspects and reports on all current sites a minimum of once every five weeks. Sites are also visited by Senior Management on a regular basis and Site Supervisors are also entrusted with ensuring that all Personnel and Subcontractors (where applicable) wear all necessary PPE, work safely and adhere to the necessary site safety rules.

Blaze Construction acknowledges that its people are its strongest asset and as such it is Blazeís responsibility to ensure that they have a safe environment to work in.
