Blaze Construction was certificated for the ISO 9002 Quality Standard in 1992 and has since been upgraded to ISO 9001. We also work and adhere to the principals contained within ISO 140001 and OHSAS 180001. Health and Safety procedures are strictly applied and Blaze Construction´s safety record speaks for itself. Monthly site inspections are carried out by an external Safety Consultant in addition to the regular inspections by senior NEBOSH certified staff and directors. Blaze Construction insists on ongoing safety training and all Operatives hold current CSCS cards and Plant Operators hold current Operator Certificates. Plant is regularly checked and serviced and records of the above are held at Head Office.
All estimating, surveying and setting out is carried out by Blaze Construction´s own highly experienced directly employed staff. Blaze Construction currently enjoys a turnover in the region of £35,000,000 per annum.
Personnel are site inducted and attend regular tool box talks. They are also all given a copy of the Health & Safety Handbook and Rules which is explained to them. They then sign to say that they have read, understood and agree to comply with this document.
Blaze Construction actively encourages both Health & Safety and skills training. All personnel hold a current Health & Safety certificate. In addition, all Plant Operators hold a current Plant Operator’s Certificate for any piece of plant they operate, all Operatives hold a current relevant CSCS card and supervisors attend Safety First Aid courses. All details of certificates gained and training received are held at Head Office both in hard copy and on the computer system. This system automatically creates a reminder when an update is required.
Blaze Construction appoints an external Safety Consultant, who visits, inspects and reports on all current sites a minimum of once every five weeks.
